In some circles this degree is becoming more recognized as an “integrative medicine degree”. Various professionals, who already hold a professional degree, or license, or the equivalent, may apply. Certain exceptionally experience and non-degreed and non-licensed people may qualify for a specialized curriculum leading to the NMD degree. KCNH accelerated degrees attest to the fact that a person has taken advanced training in naturopathy or homeopathy. These degrees are not to be construed as medical degrees, although one may be considered a physician in some locations.
