Degree's Offered
ELEVEN DEGREES OFFERED (non-medical professional)
Bachelors of Science in Natural Health (B.S.) - This degree is for anyone who is eager to learn more about the natural health field. It is a complete study that covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, iridology, nutrition, herbal healing, theories of naturopathy and homeopathy, and more.
Master of Science in Natural Health (M.S.) - This degree prepares a person for a deeper understanding of subjects taken at the bachelor degree level. It is considered “advanced training.” Subjects learned are alternative and conventional treatments, food remedies, lipid biochemistry, allopathic and naturopathic medical terms, diagnostics & statistics for mental disorders, drug-herb-vitamin interaction, and more.
Master of Naturopathic Psychology (M.N.Psy.) - Kingdom College of Natural Health has always been a “pioneer.” And we are the first natural health college in America to offer a Master’s Degree in “Naturopathic Psychology.” The degree will be useful for those interested in psychology and for others who hold related degrees in the field of Human Behavior. For the most part, it’s an integrative degree and will benefit one who desires to help friends, family, clients, or patients to gain the “extra-edge” in improving their health which psychology alone cannot give.
Master of Homeopathy (M.Hom.) - Homeopathy is one of the oldest forms of medicine in Europe, the United States, and Canada. It is a drugless form of medicine and is making a strong “whirl-wind” return in the 21st Century. The Master of Homeopathy degree will build a strong foundation for one in homeopathic knowledge and will give him/her the expertise to consult (or counsel) with others about their health concerns.
Doctor of Homeopathy (D.Hom.) - One of the most respected degrees in the world. However, few if any, American Colleges of Natural Health offer such a degree. This is the same degree offered by many renowned homeopathic colleges in Europe and India. A holder of the Doctor of Homeopathy degree will have an understanding of European, Indian, and American homeopathy. And a practitioner shall be able to treat friends, family, clients, or patients appropriately. A holder of the Doctor of Homeopathy degree is prepared to have a private practice or become a lecturer or natural health consultant.
Doctor of Naturopathic Psychology (D.N.Psy.) - This degree is attractive to a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, lecturer, nutritionist, or a person in the mental health field. In some instances, persons who simply want the knowledge this degree offers may also apply. With such a degree, one may integrate several forms of medicine with great success in a private practice. There is a pressing need for the knowledge this degree provides in the North American society, inasmuch as most colleges of natural health tend to minimize the necessity of psychological knowledge and training for the practitioner.
Doctor of Natural Health (D.N.H.) - This degree prepares a person to be a consultant or practitioner of the healing arts. In states where practitioners of naturopathy are licensed and degreed as "ND" or "NMD" one must consider other options. One may earn the Doctor of Natural Health (DNH) and act as a "consultant" in accordance to state laws and respective residency.
Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) - This coveted degree is often held by individuals who are not physicians. However, it is not uncommon for a Chiropractic, Medical Doctor, or Doctor of Osteopathy to hold such a degree. This degree program teaches the student about the role of good and bad fats, detoxification, parasite prevention, geriatric therapies, energy healing, sports nutrition, and more.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) - Ph.D degree has always been considered a "Research Degree." However, it is not uncommon for the Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy, Doctor of Chiropractic as well as other professionals to earn it. This degree is similar to the Doctor of Naturopathy, with the exception that it requires more research and more theses (or dissertations) to earn it. Our Doctor of Philosophy degree is presently in much demand where new licensing laws are forcing traditional naturopaths not to use the ND or NMD degree. The holder of this degree will have the knowledge to teach, research, or practice naturopathy in accordance to state laws and respective residency.
PROFESSIONAL DEGREES
Healthcare professionals are beginning to realize the value of nutrition and natural healing. However, these professionals have not been afforded natural health training from traditional medical colleges. When a licensed doctor uses natural substances for patients, his/her state board may chastise him/her for deviating from “traditional protocol.” Nonetheless, physicians are willing to risk losing their license when they see the results produced by proper nutrition and alternative therapies. Today, in America, the public is crying out for a more humane treatment for heart disease and cancer that kills hundreds-of-thousands of people each year. Now, more than ever, professionals practitioners have an obligation to stay up-to-date on research and the healing systems that will bring healing to patients.
Kingdom College of Natural Health is proud to offer the following professional degrees.
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.M.D.) - In some circles this degree is becoming more recognized as an "integrative medicine degree." Various professionals who already hold a professional degree or license (or the equivalent), may apply. Certain exceptionally experienced non-degreed and non-licensed people may qualify for a specialized curriculum leading to the NMD degree. You would need to speak directly with our admissions office at 1-800-803-2988 in reference to such requests.
Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine (H.M.D.) - Same as above with the exception of the emphasis being on homeopathy rather than the general study and practice of naturopathy.
